These very trails I have hiked a few times
and once rowed
from Haena where the trail begins
to Polihale;
we literally rowed
non-stop
8-9hrs
from Ke'e Beach to Kalalau!
There we camped 3 days,
then rowed another 8hrs
to Milolii
where we were
the only ones
there
camping,
the next morning
another 8-10 hrs
rowing to Barking Sands,
better known as Polihali
where we capsized
in the big surf
but finally
landed on shore!
What an incredible 5 days journey
that I would
never
do again,
but am
ever
so grateful for
the blessing
of doing it
once
upon
a
time!!!
